Red Carpet

Higgins, your photographer

Red Carpet makes ordinary guests
look like they were
photographed on purpose.

A photo booth that runs in a browser. Every guest’s photos are on their own phone before they leave it — one scan, no app, no account.

Stand an iPad, a laptop or a spare phone at the party and open Red Carpet. Higgins, the photographer inside it, greets each guest, tells them where to look, counts them in and takes the shots. Then the booth shows a code.

Here from a photo or an email?
Your photos are on the link in the code you scanned, or the one you were emailed — no account needed. The small mark on them is ours: Red Carpet is the booth at that event, made by Wade.Technology.

From the booth to their phone

  1. STEP 01

    Higgins takes the shots

He tells them where to look, counts them in, and takes two to six photos — the host chooses how many.

  2. STEP 02

    The booth shows a code

One code per sitting. Missed it? “Missed your photos?” on the booth shows the evening as sets, each with its own code.

  3. STEP 03

    Their photos, on their phone

The phone camera opens their set in the browser. Save all, or one at a time. Nothing to install, nobody to ask.

For guests

Nothing to install

  • Point the phone camera at the code. Their set opens in the browser.
  • Save all to the phone in one tap, or one photo at a time.
  • The screen is a mirror; the saved photo is not. Writing on a sign reads the right way round.
  • Missed the code? The booth keeps the evening as sets, each with its own code.
  • A single photo can be shared with its own code.
  • Want them kept? “Keep these forever” turns the link into an account — their choice.

For hosts

Run it from across the room

  • Runs in a browser on an iPad, a laptop or a phone you already own.
  • Start and stop the booth from your own phone. You can see whether it is live.
  • Invite co-hosts and operators to help run the evening.
  • Hide or delete any photo. Deleted means the file and the record.
  • Live stats while the evening runs.
  • Paste your guest list and schedule an email of the gallery link for after the party.

Higgins

A photographer, not a shutter

  • He looks at the frame and directs by where people are standing.
  • He reacts to the pose just taken before calling the next one.
  • He greets by the time of day, in a natural voice. British by default; the accent is yours to choose.
  • Tell him who the evening is for and what they are wearing — or upload the invitation and the brief fills itself — and he can call them by name.
  • If he is ever slow to answer, he carries on from his script. The booth never waits.
  • The host sees a log of what he noticed and what he said, shot by shot.

The Glow

One dial, five effects

One dial from 0 to 10 sets warmth, soft focus, bloom, vignette and grain together, each on its own curve. It is the old Hollywood look — flattering without making anyone look like plastic.

  • Bloom0.66 at 6
  • Warmth0.60 at 6
  • Vignette0.33 at 6
  • Soft focus0.30 at 6
  • Grain0.30 at 6

Strength of each effect against the one dial, drawn from the booth’s own curves. Soft focus stops rising at 6 and grain at 5, so turning it up never melts a face.
